Welcome!

Hello - thank you for reading my first blog post. I'm not sure what the focus will be yet but I have a few ideas.

So, who am I? I'm Michele, I'm in my mid-forties, I work full time, and I am in grad school (MBA). I live in Southern California, specifically Long Beach, and I'm a native Californian (that's kind of rare, everyone seems to be from somewhere else!).

I've been married to my husband for 7 years, no kids - two cats.

I'll leave my husband out of this for now, although he may make an appearance from time to time. 

Some topics to expect:

Books - I love to read and I read all genres - historical fiction, science fiction, fantasy, literary fiction (whatever that actually means).

Makeup / Skin care - I am a junkie so look for reviews - products I love, hate, and everything in between.

Clothes - I'm plus sized and love to find new plus-sized options.

My home town, Long Beach, because I love it!

Travel - One of my favorite things, I love trips and trip planning. I'm currently planning a trip to Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin in late May. My MBA program is meeting in Berlin for a week and most of the class will be in Europe the week before for some recreational travel.

So that's my first post. Hopefully not my last!
